Featured Presentation:

The Point of Attack - Security and Intrusion Prevention

Gabriel Villa , Principal Consultant Extofer Consulting, LLC

The Point of Attack - Security and Intrusion Prevention Is your database safe? Does everyone use 'sa' to log in to your server? Are you a victim of SQL Injection? If you answer "yes" or "not sure" to any of these, I would like to share some SQL Server security tips with you. You'll discover some commonly overlooked practices in securing your SQL Server databases. Learn about physical security, passwords, privileges and roles, and preventative best practices. I'll demonstrate auditing and we will take a quick look at some .Net code samples to use on your applications. Get up to speed on some new security features in SQL Server 2012. Takeaway the 20/20 vision to identify SQL Injection and other database vulnerabilities and how to prevent them.
